WJO.Digital is an online-only business offering website services including web design, SEO, content optimisation and consultancy.

What personal information I collect

I collect the following personal data via the contact form on this website: first name, last name, email address and phone number. I may also collect cookie and analytics data to understand website use. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

How I collect personal data

I'm a paragraph. Click Data is collected when you complete the contact form. Cookie and analytics data is collected through the website with a cookie consent banner. Enquiries may be handled via my email account linked to the site (Gmail via Wix). to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

Why I collect personal data and my lawful basis

I process contact form data so I can respond to enquiries and provide the services requested. The lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interest (to respond to enquiries and manage client relationships). See the Legitimate Interests Assessment below for a concise record of that assessment. For cookies and analytics, consent is used where required under PECR. Cookies and analytics

I show a cookie consent banner on first visit. Analytics data is viewed in the Wix analytics dashboard. If I add Google Analytics or similar tools in future I will update this policy and ensure appropriate controls and consent are in place. The rules for cookies are set out under PECR and enforced by the ICO.

Third party processors

At present enquiries may be processed using Wix and Gmail. If I add other third party processors (for example Google Analytics or payment providers) I will list them here and ensure contractual safeguards are in place. I do not intend to store personal data outside the UK/EEA. If any international transfers become necessary I will ensure appropriate safeguards are used.

How long I keep personal data

Contact details and project records will be retained for up to two years after the last interaction unless you ask me to delete them earlier. If a longer retention is required for legal or tax reasons I will keep only the minimum data necessary and document the reason. Guidance on storage limitation and retention is available from the ICO.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, including: the right to access the data I hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure (subject to statutory exceptions), to restrict processing, to object to processing (including where processing is based on legitimate interests), and to data portability where applicable. You also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. For more information see ICO guidance.

Security

I use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Access to personal data is limited to those who need it to perform administrative tasks.

Where I rely on consent for cookies or for marketing communications I will provide a simple way to withdraw consent. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing wjodigital.com

I may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are significant I will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

Legitimate Interests Assessment (summary)

Purpose: to process contact form information (name, email, phone) to respond to enquiries and to manage client relationships.

Necessity: processing is necessary to respond to enquiries and perform services requested.

Balancing test: the processing is limited to contact details, kept only while relevant, and safeguarded. It is not intrusive and carries low risk to individuals. Individuals can object and have rights to access, correct or erase their data. Guidance on legitimate interests assessments is provided by the ICO.
